To save his family honor, Capt. Wynnegate leaves England under a cloud (not of his own making). He goes to the Far West of America, and  becomes known as Jim Carson. He marries the daughter of a native American chief, and the couple have a son. When it’s time for Jim to reclaim his inheritance, he must decide between returing to England or remaining in America with his wife and son.
