Synopsis:
Mataya, Prince of Siam, loves Gillete, the daughter of the former French consul who has secured the entire treasury of Siam. Gilette believes that Mataya wants her only for her money, and so the prince renounces the throne. Wang, the conniving regent of Siam, seizes the moment, the throne, and the treasury.
