Synopsis:
Convent-educated Claudette goes to Saigon, where she meets and marries the Frenchman, Rene Beauvois. But Rene becomes captivated by a Japanese dancer, deserts his wife and becomes an opium addict. Through tragedies and harrowing adventures, Claudette finally finds true love.
