Synopsis:
Rough-and-tumble carnival barker Billy Bigelow meets and marries the innocent mill worker Julie Jordan. Their marriage is a troubled one, and Billy dies while committing a robbery. Unable to enter heaven because of his sins, Billy is given one day on earth to redeem himself.
